We just finished watching the debate between Senator Kamala Harris and Vice President Pence. Of course, there's a lot to unpack—but I want to draw your attention to a topic that needs to be at the forefront of the next debate: climate change.

This district is overflowing with natural beauty, but droughts are drying up our waterfalls and harming our crops and lakes. Our next president must be prepared to take bolder, faster climate action than any leader has before. It would be a massive failure by the media to omit asking the next leader of our country thorough questions about one of the planet's most pressing threats during the presidential debates.

I believe that we can use scientific research, economic incentives and, when necessary, measured regulation to maintain the natural balances in our ecosystem that support all species, including our own. Join me in urging moderators to find out what the Presidential candidates think by signing my petition.
