Climate is on the agenda, either way.

There is nowhere on Earth I'd rather call home than NY-23. An environment that captures the best of all four seasons, from the beauty of the autumn leaves to the peaceful summers on one of our many lakes, but so much more.

Our natural surroundings in Western New York, the Southern Tier, and the Finger Lakes are also critical contributors to our economy, by way of the tourism, outdoor activities, and bountiful agricultural outputs they provide.

It is crucial that we do all that we can to continue to protect our region's natural resources and beauty, so that we continue to be a place our families can invest and grow long-term. And that means tackling climate change. Sign my petition and tell Tom Reed and the career politicians: we demand climate action NOW!

Unfortunately, lifelong politicians like Tom Reed will do whatever their mega-donors tell them to prolong their tenures in office and try to advance their careers. Donald Trump has spent four years refusing to even acknowledge climate change as real, let alone admit to the impacts devastating our communities.

And Reed? He's a chief enabler. Despite a decade in Congress, Reed mentions climate change less than 10 times on his website, and refuses to tie it to human impact.

We can't address the problem of climate change on NY-23 if we can't admit the depths of it.

Vice President Biden has laid out a detailed, step-by-step plan to tackle climate change, in ways big and small that would protect NY-23's natural treasures and the jobs they provide which so many of us depend on.

But climate scientists all agree: the sooner we get these steps enacted to reduce carbon emissions, the better chance we have to salvage our district and the surrounding area. Sign my petition and tell Tom Reed and the career politicians: we demand climate action NOW!

We must take immediate, swift action to target investments in renewable energy, clean vehicles, and green infrastructure for NY-23, and nationwide. We CANNOT simply wait to the end of election, or when it's politically safe.

Sign my petition and tell Tom Reed and the career politicians: we demand climate action NOW!
